Using Soft Pastels on Black Card Stock

Usually, the only way to apply color to black card stock is to heat embossing.  But, there is now a new way to apply color!  Soft Pastels.  These new Soft Pastels are, in my opinion, a hidden gem in the Annual Catalog.  They are found on the bottom of page 126, in-between the set of Marvelous Stampin’ Write Markers and Watercolor Pencils. There are many ways of using these Soft Pastels which makes them even more impressive.  In this post, I am going to show you one way of  Using Soft Pastels on Black Card Stock.

Tip – You may want to apply a coating of aerosol hair spray or spray sealer to the card after the strawberry color has resumed.  But before you adhere the green scallop frame.  The sealer will help prevent color transfer.

Did you think it was magical when you applied the rubbing alcohol to the poppy parade soft pastel?  It disappeared and the reappeared with a smoothed out look.  I really enjoyed making and showing you how Using Soft Pastels on Black Card Stock is fun and easy.
