Create a Bookmark with your Soft Pastels

I think the Soft Pastels are a hidden gem in the 2021/22 Annual Catalog.  They can be found on page 126, right between the entire Stampin’ Write Markers collection and Water Color Pencils (another hidden gem).  You can use these Soft Pastels in several ways to color – that’s what makes them so special.  Versatility!  In this post and video, I am going to show you how to create a bookmark with your soft pastels.  You may or may not know, I love making & using bookmarks.

I saw this sample seahorse card on page 160 as my inspiration.  Did you know there are different card samples in the back of the catalog highlighting the bundles??  Definitely take a peek.

Seahorse card

This is the bookmark that I ended up with.  We made this bookmark at our July Club meeting, as one of our Club projects.

Seahorse bookmark using Soft Pastels

I just love how the bookmark came out, so vibrant and happy!  One note that I don’t mention in the video is you should apply either aerosol hairspray or spray sealer on top of the coloring to prevent transference.  We don’t want to color in those library books!!!  I’ll list the supplies I used after the video.
