Easier Way to Line Up the Snowman in the Punch

Have you seen or used the Snowman Builder punch yet? It’s fantastic and coordinates perfectly with the Snowman Season stamp set. You can stamp & punch the snowman base, hat, arms and nose. I want to show you two easier ways to line up the Snowman in the punch, rather than stamping and punching each piece individually. You can do this with your blocks or Stamparatus. I will show you both ways with step by step photos.

Easier Way to Line Up the Snowman in the Punch

  1. Punch the Snowman out of a piece of card stock before stamping. This can be scrap card stock, you won’t be using the snowman from this one.

2. Place each piece of the snowman stamps inside the cut out spaces.

3. Place your block on top of the pieces.

4. Stamp the snowman on a piece of card stock. I recommend stamping towards the bottom of the piece so that you have the top of the card stock to hold onto when using the punch, like a handle.

5. Place the stamped card stock into the punch and punch! Do you see how all pieces line up where you want them? So much easier than stamping and punching each piece at a time.

Snowman! Now let me show you how to use your Stamparatus instead of a block.

Place your card stock punched template on the Stamparatus. I like to line washi tape on my Stamparatus base so I know where to line up my paper. The washi tape is repositional, so it can be used many times. Place the pieces of the snowman stamps in the cutouts, just like I did with the block example.

TIP – you may want to place one piece down (stamp) at a time, flip the plate over to pick up the stamp and repeat with each additional piece. I find when I do all of the pieces at once, I tend to move them a bit and they are not perfectly lined up.

Stamps lined up and on plate.

Place the card stock you want to stamp (along the washi taped lines). See how you know where to put your paper because of the washi tape? Ink, press and stamp.

Color your snowman’s hat & nose and use to decorate cards, tags and boxes.

I hope you found this easier way to line up the Snowman in the Punch tip helpful. The snowman is really fun to work with for Christmas, Winter Holidays, Birthdays and Thank you cards, as well as scrapbook and memory keeping pages.
