Team Swap – Beautiful Must See (& Copy) Samples

I have a wonderful, marvelous, varied, all different stamping levels and caring team.  (And I would love for you to join us).  Last month, I offered the opportunity of a card swap to my team.  Below are photographs of the swap cards I received from some of the members of my team.  They are absolutely amazing!  Because we are all part of the same team, everyone puts their best foot forward (no matter what their stamping level, beginner to expert) which makes it so nice to receive such specially made cards from each other.  I would love for you to join our team too so you can participate in our future swaps, as well as other events.

The cards from this swap focused on products from the 2021 Holiday Catalog.

Halloween

Kandy made this fabulous Halloween card, focusing on the Frightfully Cute Bundle, 156493.  I love everything about this card and all of the details she included – details made easier with the dies.  This is a very cool fold (I don’t know what it’s called but I will definitely be copying!!!!)  The sides of the card pull out so you can stand it up on the table.

Closed card fits in a standard envelope

Fall

Pam made this calm and peaceful “Season of Thanks” card.  I LOVE the browns, cajun and blues color combination.  The pattern paper is retired, but you can definitely copy the card layout and double wrapped bow.

Seasons Greetings

Dawn made this incredible Z Fold Penguin card – so many details and layers!  Stamped background base, snowflake embossing (both on the front white layer and back striped layer), Wink of Stella glitter on the white snowflakes, many layers for the adorable penguin (including the White Velvet paper body and gem eyes), cut out presents and each card has an iridescent Wonderful Snowflake, 156340.  I wonder if she knows how much I love blue Christmas cards??

Christmas

Michelle S. made a different version of a Z fold card (such a great and versatile fold!).  She too included so many textural layers with the top scallop embossed with the Wintery 3D embossing folder, 155433 (I love it embossed in white) and the multi stamped pinecones, leaves and berries.  Soft Succulent is a great base color for a Christmas card, it pairs so nicely with Real Red.  This layout wouldn’t work with a bright card base.

Here is a totally different pinecone card made by another Michelle N – funny that the two Michelles each made a pinecone card using the Christmas Season bundle, 156801.  This card is very sparkly with Wink of Stella applied to the Old Olive sprigs and the multi gems.  What a wonderful sentiment “Friends like you make this season special” to send to a true friend!  It’s from the Christmas to Remember stamp set, 156300 – be sure to check it out, it’s full of wonderful sentiments.

Inside of card – I love this matching paper triangle corner she included. I never thought of doing that (but I will now!)

Sue created this warm, cozy and vintage feel card with the popular Whimsical Tree bundle, 156810 and paper.  These presents are deceptively easy to create because all you have to do is cut them out of the pre-printed Whimsy & Wonder paper, 156329.  Sometimes we may get a little tired of creating “traditional” Christmas cards and this suite is perfect for that.  I love your card Sue!  Who wouldn’t want this Christmas tree with the abundance of gifts on Christmas morning???

Winter

Sometimes when a card arrives you just know who made it without even looking at the envelope or inside.  Carol makes stunning, intricate cards and this one is no exception.  How peaceful is this scene?  Hopefully my picture captures the beauty and layering effect.  The cabin is in front of the black silhouette trees, which are layered in front of and behind the stamped trees, which line up perfectly with the silver printed trees.  This fold is called a “spanner card”.  Unbelievable (and again, one I will be copying with a different stamp set & dies because I don’t have this Peaceful Cabin bundle, 156816 or Peaceful Pace paper, 156394.

Three layers to this card – top, middle and inside (to write on).

I love how Charlette made this birthday penguin blue instead of the traditional black and paired him/her with the music background embossed on vellum.  I’ll imagine her singing the happy birthday song.  I don’t know how to read music, so I would have no idea that it’s really music for a Christmas song.  Penguin Place bundle (set & punch), 156789 and Merry Melody 3D embossing folder, 156392.

And look how she decorated the inside! So much fun instead of just plain white.

My swap card is not shown because I featured it in Week 2 of my 12 Weeks of Christmas Ideas.  The cards & projects I feature in this 12 Weeks series are exclusive to those on my mailing list.  Not on my list?  Sign up right here – www.mailsomethingpretty.com/signup
