Snowflake Card with Vellum & Blends

I am in love with this card!  I loved the original I saw online which was pink, but I didn’t have the necessary pink ribbon so I turned my version into blue (I love blue Christmas cards).  That’s what we do, see something to copy and/tweak to fit the supplies we have.  We put photos, tips and videos online, for you to copy exactly or change up.  Below is my version of the snowflake card with vellum and blends I saw.  I hope you like it and want to give this fun coloring technique a try.

Fun card, right????  I love how the coloring with Blends Markers on Vellum with the 91% Rubbing Alcohol comes out.  Thank you to my friend Ellen for teaching me this technique.  I will definitely be coloring more projects this way.

The pink card on the left was the original card I saw and fell in love with.  But I didn’t have the pink ribbon, which I felt tied it all together.  So, I improvised and used blues, all of which I had.  I looked at the photograph and tried to figure out what she did (I think successfully).  Really look at and dissect photos of cards & projects you like.  Then figure out what supplies you have and what you can use to substitute.

This card was a Club project for November.  Interested in finding out more about Club?  My next round beings in December, so you need to let me know you are interested by next Tuesday, Dec. 7.  Club details – https://mailsomethingpretty.com/join-stamp-club/

Spread the love!
