Fun Tea Boxes to Make & Give

If you know anything about me, it’s that I love tea.  I have several cups a day.  I come from a big tea drinking family and have instilled the love of tea with both my kids.  As a matter of fact, while my son was taking online classes at home from college, we had tea together every day at 3pm.  It became a lovely ritual.  In addition to drinking tea, I also enjoy making projects that involve tea bags and this fun tea box is a great one to make & give away.  It was one of our May Club projects too.  Just in time for International Tea day which was on May 21st.  You can watch the video and then make some for yourself (to keep and/or give away).  Giving tea to a friend or family member can happen all year long.

I made these boxes using the new In Colors and Tea Boutique bundle.  You can make yours in any color and with any labeling (but the Tea Boutique bundle is perfect for this project).

I was able to fit 5 tea bags in each box.  Most individual tea bag packets are the same size, 2-1/2″ x 3″,so you are not limited to just one brand.

Once you make one tea box, you’ll find they come together pretty quickly if you want to make multiples.  I think they would make great party favors, hostess gifts and surprise gift for a colleague, teacher or neighbor.  I know I keep tea bags in my purse, why not make a box for yourself to keep in your purse?
