I like to make a fun, easy & delicious hostess gift for couples when we get together. Last summer, Trader Joes sold S’mores chocolate bark that was DELICIOUS. I haven’t seen it in the stores this summer which is too bad because I was prepared to stock up on them. Since I haven’t seen them, I tried to replicate them by melting and pouring chocolate chips over broken bits of graham crackers and mini marshmallows. The bark, wrapped in a cello bag and topped with a handmade tag, became my hostess gift. They were a huge hit! Below are the steps on how I made the tag using the Halloween Magic Dies – these dies are not just for Halloween!
There’s a piece missing because I needed to make sure it tasted ok before gifting it. Mmmmmm…very tasty!
Step by Step Tag Directions
1. Cut two of the smaller tags from the die set. In my sample I used Pretty Peacock and Whisper White. 2. Line up the white tag on your paper trimmer on the points. 3. Cut both sides off. 4. You could cut a rectangle, but there is a slight curve.
5. Punch a hole so you can insert a ribbon. I discovered that it is easier to line up the center on the Detailed Trio punch when using upside down. 6. Picture of punched white piece. 7. After you stamp & assemble your tag, you will need to punch again so the Pretty Peacock layer is punched. Turn your punch upside down and line up the already punched hole from the white for exact placement. 8. Insert ribbon and your tag is complete!
