Four Seasons in Life is Beautiful Stamp Set

You know how when you flip through the catalog (for the umpteenth time) and you see a stamp set that speaks to you? This happened to me with the Life is Beautiful stamp set, which is found on page 51 of the Holiday catalog. I love stamp sets that give you many options and this one does exactly that. I even saw a sample that included all four season in one card! You can leave the tree bare for Halloween, add snowflakes, spring blooms, summer greens and autumn hues as I did in this card. We made this card at my Club Class this summer and I thought I would share it with you in case you would like to make one.

Steps to Stamp Autumn Card

Stamp the tree on 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Very Vanilla with Soft Suede ink. I used my Stamparatus to stamp the tree because it is easier to stamp such a large stamp. You can also use the F Clear block.

This is an Autumn card, so I started stamping the leaves with Pumpkin Pie ink. I stamped the leaves and stamped again without re-inking which gave a dark and light impression of the orange. Repeat on both sides of the tree.

I repeated this process with Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight ink.

To get multi colors on the bird house, I colored Real Red, Bermuda Bay and Basic Gray Stampin’ Write Markers directly on the stamp. Before pressing the stamp on the paper, blow/huff on the stamp to moisten the ink in case it dried while applying the other colors.

This image shows how I stamped the grass. Stamp in Old Olive the grass (or it could be a shadow) on one side of the tree and then flip the stamp over and stamp on the other side of the tree. This photo also shows the color differences of two trees. The tree on the left has Crushed Curry leaves and the tree on the right has Daffodil Delight (a little brighter).

Remember when you use the Banner Triple punch that there is a waste piece when punching. You need to take this into account when stamping words. You can either punch, stamp on a strip of paper and then trim to fit (easier way), or you can pre-measure and account for the waste size before you stamp.

I stamped in Bermuda Bay ink to match the Bermuda Bay in the bird house. Attach the label with a dimensional. The card base is Cajun Craze.

Tools & Supplies

Would you like to see some more samples of what you can make with the Life is Beautiful stamp set? These samples were designed by Stampin’ Up!. I haven’t had a chance to make any more yet.

Stampin’ Up! offers two types of Markers – Stampin’ Writes and Blends Markers. I wrote a post a while ago showcasing the differences. If you would like to read more on those differences, you can click here: mailsomethingpretty.com/stampin-writes-vs-stampin-blends-markers/

I hope you enjoyed how I made this card, all with different colored inks.

Spread the love!
