I already mailed two of today’s cards out to friends who had December birthdays – I have to be totally honest here and admit I mailed them as belated birthday cards. But, what a surprise they got when they saw new products on their birthday cards (they are both Stampin’ Up! demonstrators).
Yesterday I posted cards using the new chalk ink. This may look the same – but I used a different technique. Hats off to Connie Babbert for the idea – I totally copied her (I promise you she will be flattered and happy I used her technique). All the words are embossed in white – and wait for it….then I colored over the white with my Blendabilities!!!!!!! How awesome is that!
All of these words are really three separate stamps – “happy birthday”, “celebrate your big day with cake”, and “and perhaps a little ice cream”. They all come in the new Sale-a-bration stamp set “Big Day” along with stamps of a birthday cake and candle. The inside strip of paper is from the Sale-a-bration designer series paper “Best Year Ever”.
Do you remember the other day I mentioned I like to use the “inners” from the new “Petal Potpourri” flower stamp set as backgrounds – here is that polka dot used as a fun little background.
