Not many more days to go until the January 6 launch of both the 2015 Occasions catalog and the Sale-a-bration catalog! And do you know what else isn’t many days away? Valentines Day! If you want to make your sweetheart, grandchildren, BFF, children, or anyone else a special Valentine’s day treat & card, be sure to plan ahead. That means design, order supplies and create all before February 14.
Here is a cute little treat bag using some new products:
I didn’t want to use the traditional red & pink colors, so I went with Night of Navy, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango instead. I’m really pleased with this combination. The “Petite Cafe Gift Bags” are the perfect size for all sorts of treats, are kraft poly-lined and have a tin tie closure. They measure 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ x 8″ and are food safe.
I used three different Big Shot dies to make this tag. The bottom layer uses the Banner framelit to cut the Night of Navy and Whisper White patterned paper (from the new Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper). I stamped repetitive layers of Tangerine Tango hearts from the new “Hello Life” stamp set and then cut it out with the Chalk Talk framelit. The third die cut the “you” from the new “Hello You” Thinlits dies (it has four words: hello, thank, you and happy). You can get this die set by itself or in a 15% off bundle with the “Crazy about You” stamp set (I haven’t shown this set to you yet, but let me tell you that you will love it’s versatility with it’s two flowers, stems and 28 phrases/words).The “I” is from a fabulous alphabet set “Skinny Mini Alphabet” stamped in Night of Navy and the striped heart is stamped in Melon Mambo and cut with scissors. This heart is also from the “Hello Life” set. The embellishments I used are the Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Tangelo Twist 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon and Strawberry Slush Thick Baker’s Twine. After writing this list of ingredients, I guess I should have used ink colors Tangelo Twist and Strawberry Slush instead of the Tangerine Tango and Melon Mambo!!! Tell me, do you notice that they aren’t exactly matched?
