It’s an interesting word – Stamparatus®. One of my class attendees call it a “Stampasaurus” which makes me smile each time I think about it. It may not roll off your tongue easily, but the Stamparatus® really is something you need to see, use and have. Using the Stamparatus means no more inky fingers or unwanted edge lines, getting the stamp exactly where you want, easy & quick multiple stamping and “hinge” stamping.
What is a Stamparatus®?
The Stamparatus® is “the world’s most innovative stamp placement tool”. You may have heard of other stamp placement tools (the stamp-a-ma-jig, Misti Stamping Tool, Tim Holtz’s Stamp Platform and others), but this tool is special and unique because it was designed in partnership with Stampin’ Up!’s design team and Demonstrators (me included!). Basically, the clear plates act as blocks and put the stamped image (red rubber & photopolymer) EXACTLY where you want it to go (on your card stock). And, it eliminates the unwanted stamped lines and smudges you sometimes get from the edges of a stamp or block. If you don’t stamp the image fully – not to worry! Re-ink and stamp because the stamp is going in the exact same place on your card stock. But wait, there’s more! (do I sound like an infomercial?) It creates easy stamping for multiple projects, makes 2 & 3 step stamping a breeze but also creates linear stamping with it’s unique feature of “hinge” stamping (no other tool can do this).
Why is the Stamparatus® & Accessories a Must Have?
Hopefully, the above information has already convinced you that it is a must-have tool. Did you know that the Stamparatus sold out in 15 minutes with the first release? It’s a favorite by all Demonstrators. You will be very happy with the Stamparatus® alone (you may never use your acrylic blocks again). But, the Accessories make it even better.
Take a peek at the Accessories
Stamparatus® Bag – you need somewhere to store this tool and this bag is both striking and functional. It’s padded to protect your plates and base, and has separate pockets for each component, as well as space for extra plates and grid paper. You can even put a stamp set, ink and card stock inside and take your stamping on the go.
Grid Paper – I have just started using this Grid paper and am now convinced it’s a must have. The grid lines help you place your stamps straight in many places on the base. No longer do you always have to put the paper in the same position in the corner. I find it very helpful when using my Buffalo check background stamp.
Extra Plates – Your Stamparatus® comes with two plates which really give you four sides of usable stamping. Some projects may involve more layers (or if you are doing multiple projects at one), so the extra plates allow you to keep all your stamps attached.
Extra Magnets – These magnets are super strong and attractive. If they come anywhere near each other, they want to connect and sometimes splinter. Having an extra set on hand will be a great back up. I find putting washi or painters tape on the magnets helps quite a lot when picking them up and moving them.
Accessories Pack – Stampin’ Up! made it easy for ordering by bundles some of these products together. Includes: plates, grid paper and foam mat.
Stamparatus® Bag & Tool Pack – Includes it all! Stamparatus® Bag, & Accessories Pack. One stop shopping.
Stamparatus® Videos
There are many ways of using the Stamparatus®, which is what makes it such a must have tool. It’s a multi-tool for the stamper. Here are a few videos of the Stamparatus® in action.
