Swirly Circle Cards Made Easy

Have you seen the swirly circle cards all over the internet? My team member Michelle tried to teach me how to make one and I got all confused. No fault of hers, I just couldn’t understand the written directions. I am more of a visual learner, so after she patiently taught me how to make it, I changed up the directions to make it easier (for me) to understand. This is why I make videos rather than writing pdf directions. Michelle learned this technique from another demonstrator and each time we make the same card, we add our own tweaks to them. This process is called CASE (or casing) – Copy and Share Everything. Below is my version of swirly circle cards made easy.

As I mentioned in the video, here is the diagram and types of circles I used to make my card.

Stitched Shapes Dies 152323
The circles and colors you need to cut. Feel free to substitute colors of your choice. Just substitute the colors and create your own chart.
In addition to the colors listed above, I used Misty Moonlight for Amazing and Silver Foil for You.
Kolleen made me this card for my birthday. This was my inspiration card. She used both the Stitched Shapes dies and the Layering Circle dies for her version.

I need to make some baby cards and didn’t really have any good baby stamps, so I used this same technique, but different colors.

This is the order of colors using the same chart as above: Soft Seafood, Just Jade, Seaside Spray, So Saffron and Misty Moonlight. Celebrate in Night of Navy. Sahara Sand layer on White base.
Same order as chart above: So Saffron, Rococo Rose, Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink and Calypso Coral. Celebrate in Rich Razzleberry on Very Vanilla base.

Be sure to leave comments and let me know how you found my directions. Thanks!

Spread the love!
