Some punches, such as the new Strawberry Builder Punch, have a lot of shapes it creates. This is very helpful when you want all those shapes, but can also make it a little complicated when you want to punch a certain shape or reduct paper waste. This punch hack can be very helpful for this particular Strawberry punch, but also other builder punches such as the ice cream, whale, tulip, umbrella, balloon or any other builder punch you have.
- Punch out all shapes on a scrap piece of paper.
- Place the template on top of the card stock you want to stamp on. Stamp individual stamps within the corresponding shapes.
- I find it easier to remove the template and then fill in the outline with your color (two-step stamping, markers, watercolor pencils, etc.)
-
Insert the stamped paper into the punch. All of the images should line up since you used the template for placement.
If Using a Stamparatus
- If you are using the Stamparatus, place your template on top of the card stock on the Stamparatus.
- Place the stamps in the cut out shapes.
- Close the plate so the stamps stick to the underside of the plate.
- Remove the template, ink the stamps and press the plate with the stamps onto the card stock.
- Individually fill in the color (if the stamps require coloring). Punch the shapes out with the punch as above.
