How to: Slider Lock Treat Box with Pull Tab

One of my Club members sent me a link for a Slider Lock Treat box and asked to make it for one of our Club projects.  I watched the video and made some tweaks of my own.  These boxes are so much fun to make and I can’t wait to give them out as Easter gifts.  The best thing about these boxes is that you can turn them into any occasion simply by changing out the paper and design on front.  I used a butterfly, but you can use an ice cream cone, Christmas tree, heart, pumpkin, etc.  Fill with flat chocolate, a gift card or even jewelry.  Watch the video below to see how you can make your own slider lock treat box with pull tab.  Measurements are below the video.

  • Base is 7-1/2″ x 10-3/4″.  Score the short side: 1-3/4″, 2-1/8″, 5-3/8″ and 5-3/4″.  Score the long side: 4″, 4-3/8″, 8-3/8″ and 8-3/4″
  • Inside message piece 3-3/4″
  • Patterned paper.  Top 3 x 1-3/4″ and Bottom 3 x 3-3/4″
