Nothing Better than a Cup of Tea

Julie Andrews sang the beautiful song “These are a few of my favorite things” in the Sound of Music and for me, tea is one of my favorite things (I love the musical too).  The drink is warming, comforting, social, varied in flavors, and can really solve all problems.  Stampin’ Up! has come up with a perfect suite of tea:  A Nice Cuppa stamp set, Cups & Kettles framelits (and you can get these two as a bundle saving 15%), coordinating Have a Cuppa papers, ribbons and embellishments.  Truly a beautiful and versatile suite of products.  I have just a few samples to show you how to combine these products, but there are so many more ways to use them. Snip20160121_8This card uses minimal stamping just on the lemons.  The Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies has 12 dies that both frame some of the coordinating stamps but also stand on their own.  This is a design I came up with myself and it began because I wanted to use the paper dollies.  Snip20160121_6This stack of cups reminds me of a tea cup I bought my niece for Christmas while I was in Disney World.  Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland is celebrating it’s 150 Anniversary this year and they had a great display of products.  I thought I had pre-purchased the Have a Cuppa designer series paper and when I discovered that I hadn’t, I decided to make my own background lemon paper.Snip20160121_7This simple and sweet card was CASED from Mary Fish.  Again, I didn’t have the coordinating paper, so I found some patterned heart paper from the It’s My Party paper stack that works beautifully.  The enamel candy dots makes a great and easy 3D element to add.Snip20160121_9Here’s another card that uses very little stamping.  The Cups & Kettles dies include a tea pot, 3 different tea cups (one actually looks like a coffee mug) and silverware.  The “trust me you’re lovely” comes from another new and great set, You’re So Lovely, that I seem to be reusing over and over.Snip20160121_10The final card (for today) is actually found in the 2016 Occasions catalog (p. 34).  The only thing I swapped out is the background polka dot paper (the It’s My Party paper stack came in handy again).  Can you see how versatile this suite is?  Birthday, thank you, hello, thinking of you, sympathy, Mother’s Day, and the list can go on and on.  And don’t forget that you can make tags, treats, boxes and bags too.  Take advantage of Sale-A-Bration and order your suite of tea today.

Spread the love!
