This is a fun project for this time of year when all we want to see is Christmas lights. These are mini paper lanterns, or luminaries. A little smaller than an old fashioned school milk carton. Follow along with my video to create your own. Substitute any die or shape that you need. Pause the video when you need to. It will be like you are right in my class. If you don’t have the right supplies to make these luminaries for this year, be sure to order your vellum and any punch or die to be ready for next year. You could make them as a summer project to be ready for Christmas 2022.
I think these paper lanterns would make great table top decorations. Replace your candles for these paper lanterns to make your holiday meal extra special. Or line any walkway or stairway.

Did you like the project? I would love to hear what you think. Vellum is a key component to these luminaries. It’s a great paper to use on many projects. I find I like using it on projects where I want to either tone down the patterns or have a subtle effect.
