Are you in the Holiday shopping mode yet? I’ve noticed that many stores look a bit empty with lack of options, sizes and choices. Below are my choices for gifts you can give your friends & family – all things that you love (using) too! Or, let your spouse or family member know that some of these items are on your wishlist. Everything I recommend is available for purchase and linked, nothing is on backorder. If you have other stamping gift suggestions too, I would love to hear your suggestions/recommendations. Here is my holiday gift guide.
Christine’s Stamping Holiday Gift Guide
1. A one-time experience. Give a Crafting Kit to a new or beginner crafter to experience the joy & creativity of making their own cards or projects. Everything they need comes in a kit: ink, stamps, block, pre-cut papers & accessories. You can choose which kit their receive here : Kits Collection Link.
2. A monthly creativity experience. Give the gift of Paper Pumpkin, a monthly crafting subscription. You can give a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription. Each month your recipient will receive a kit delivered to their mailbox which includes everything they need to make that month’s project. They will also receive an email each month with a link to a video, alternate project ideas and an invitation to join the Paper Pumpkin facebook page. The kits are great for many ages, young & old.
3. Paper Trimmer. Cutting & scoring paper is so important for what we do and a good trimmer makes a huge difference. I really love this trimmer and use it over of my other trimmers. It’s a great price too at $25. My daughter used it all the time too for her school projects. I recommend getting an extra set of blades too, 152391. They last a long time, but when you need one, you don’t want to wait for the order to arrive. The trimmer is currently considered “low inventory”. If you want one, I suggest ordering today. 4. Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine – or the Mini. This machine elevates each project you make by either cutting all the die shapes or embossing texture onto card stock. It produces the jewels to your outfit. You don’t “need” it, but It sure pulls everything together and gives you so many more options. The standard size is sturdy and can use every sized die & folder. The Mini is perfect for projects on the go (at a stamp camp, crop or friends house) or if you have limited space or budget. It can use many dies (depending on their size) and the specifically designed mini embossing folders. Both machines have a 3 year warranty.
5.
Everyday Tools. The
Simply Shammy, 147042, $8 cleans your stamps (& fingers) so easily and stores perfectly in a
stamp case, 119105, $8/set 4. All you need to do to clean it is rinse and squeeze with water. The
Take-Your-Pick Tool, 144107, $10 is a handy 5-in-1 tool. It has a paper piercer, mini spatula, small & large stylus and a tacky putty tip to pick up gems, sequins & small bits. You’ll be amazed at home many times you pick it up to use with your projects. Good
Paper Snip Scissors, 103579, $10 are a must for any crafter and these are that. They make cutting so much easier with their sharp blades and small size. I have multiple pairs I leave in different crafting areas. The
Silicone Craft Mat, 127853, $6 is an unsung hero in my craft room. I use it whenever applying glue to small pieces or need to get the glue off my hands. After the glue dries on the mat, you can rub it right off. You can also use it with embossing paste or stamping mirror images. Great stocking stuffers & Secret Santa gifts too.

6.
A set of Adhesives. No matter your crafting ability or amount of supplies you own, you can always use a new set of adhesives. My top choices of adhesives are:
Multipurpose Liquid Glue, 110755, $4,
Dimensionals, 104430, $4 &
Mini Glue Dots, 103683, $5.25. A more advanced crafter would appreciate the
Tear & Tape Adhesive, 154031, $7,
Adhesive Sheets 152334, $10,
Foam Adhesive Sheets, 152815, $8 and
Foam Adhesive Strips, 141825. $8.
7.
Packaging (for a baking friend). All of Stampin’ Up!’s packaging: bags, boxes, cups & jars are food safe. I love to put cookies & treats in these packaging options and top off with a hand stamped tag. You can also use some of these options to package up handmade notecards, which always makes a perfect gift.

8.
Watercolor Pencils & Water Painters. These two products work beautifully together and separately, depending on the look you are going for. I recommend using the
Watercolor Pencils (2 different assortment packs) &
Water Painters, 151298, $12 with either
Watercolor Paper or
Shimmery White card stock (my preference). If you are going to color stamped images, I recommend using
Staz-On Black Ink so the images don’t bleed when water is introduced. Kids can use these pencils too on their own projects to get a watercolor look.
9.
Card Stock. Refresh your friend’s crafting options of colors by getting them a few packs of different colored card stock – you could even pair it with a matching ink pad. Everyone could always use more paper. See the 54 color choices of
card stock, only $8.75 for a pack of 24 sheets.
10. Expressions in Ink Product Suite. This suite of products is absolutely beautiful and would bring excitement to any crafter. The suite is for the experienced crafter who already owns a die cutting machine (dies are included in the suite) or you could purchase the stamp set & papers separately, without the dies for an equally lovely gift.
If ordering separately:
11.
Gift Certificate. Not sure what to buy but want to give something crafty? You can purchase a gift certificate through me to give your friend or family member in any amount. Contact me to purchase.
