My husband’s grandmother (who’s 98) says that everyone who has a birthday deserves a birthday card. I agree and will go one step further and say that everyone who has a birthday deserves a handmade birthday card. And if you want to go even one more step further, everyone who has a birthday should have their house (or at least kitchen) decorated for their birthday! Who doesn’t love a birthday banner hanging on a mantle or across a set of windows? Today I’m going to show you a Happy Birthday Banner created with Jungle Pals, two Sale-a-bration products (which are free with a qualifying order).
Sale-a-bration happens every year in January & February. It’s a time of year that Stampin’ Up! crafters look forward to because you can earn free, exclusive products. There are three ways to earn free products:
- Shop – Choose a FREE (& exclusive) Sale-a-bration product with every $50 or $100 you spend. There are no limits on how many free products you can earn.
- Host – Host a qualifying party (in-person or online) and choose an additional $30 in FREE products (on top of your earned Stampin’ Rewards).
- Join – Join Stampin’ Up! and select one of two FREE bonus options.
- Shop right here!
The Jungle Pals stamp set & dies are two examples of exclusive products you can earn for free. Spend $50 and choose the Jungle Pals stamp set for free. Spend $100 and choose the coordinating dies. Or, spend $150 and choose both items PLUS earn an additional $15 of free products as your Stampin’ Rewards. Any orders over $150 earns 10% in Stampin’ Rewards (products of your choosing from the current catalogs).
Happy Birthday Banner Created with Jungle Pals
I made this birthday banner as a project for my monthly Global Live Stamping with Ann & Christine. Both Ann & I design projects (based on a common theme) and then reveal and create them on a monthly joint stamping live. It’s lots of fun to see what the other creates. Ann is my Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friend from Australia. We met many years ago and became great friends. We get to see each other at Stampin’ Up! events and decided this past summer to meet and craft together on a monthly joint live.
You can watch Ann & me together making our Jungle Pals Projects on our live replay.
This banner is made with the following supplies:
- Jungle Pals stamp set (free during Sale-a-bration) #162950
- Jungle Pals dies (free during Sale-a-bration) #162973
- Basic White card stock for each of the banner pieces
- Basic Black card stock for the background circles, cut with Stylish Shapes dies #159183
- Sunny Days Designer Series Paper (free during Sale-a-bration) #162974
- Animal colors: Tiger – Pumpkin Pie, Sloth – Pecan Pie & Copper Canyon, Crocodile – Granny Apple Green, Lemur – Smokey Slate (I think I chose the incorrect Lemur coloring) and Toucan – Parakeet Party base with Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lolly, Sweet Sorbet & Daffodil Delight highlights)
- Greenery: Shaded Spruce & Garden Green
- Black & White Gingham Ribbon #156485
- Mini Alphabet dies #162934 cut from Crushed Curry and Foam Sheets
With all that design work, I decided to use one of the banners as inspiration for a card:
I copied the “T” section from the banner for this fun “yippee!” card. I added more clouds and some sun as the background (from the Sunny Days paper) and some different lettering.
There are so many different ways you can use the Jungle Pals set: for babies, kids, showers and fun celebrations. They are only available until February 29, 2024 so if you like them, you better get them. After that, they will go back into the jungle.
