There have been a lot of changes and new beginnings happening in my household which delayed my Fall lineup announcement. My son is now almost 3 weeks into his first year of college and my daughter just started high school yesterday and has already played in 2 Freshman Volleyball games. I thought I was going to have more time to spend on my stamping when they grew up, but that isn’t necessarily the case. I’m being creative in finding different pockets of time.
Today I firmed up my Fall line up and made card samples for next week’s class. It felt so good to be in my stamping room all day! I decided to use my favorite Colorful Seasons stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits. This bundle (and you do save 10% by buying it as a bundle) is a must have for everyone! Truly, you can make year round cards & projects with it for absolutely anyone.
I just love this set!!!
I thought outside the box with this card. I don’t have any of the new Halloween sets (yet) and needed to rely on my creative resourcefulness. Past Paper Pumpkin stamp sets are truly valuable stamp sets to have. The pumpkin face is a stamp from last year’s Paper Pumpkin kit and the “Happy Halloween” is from the year before. Did you know you can get your first Paper Pumpkin kit for 50% if you sign up by September 10?? Time is running out, hurry to save. You can sign up right HERE and don’t forget to use the promo code HALFOFF0917 to save half off your September kit (which will probably be a Halloween project kit).
It may be hard to see in this sunny picture, but the popped up leaf is cut out of beautiful copper foil paper. It’s dreamy and beautiful. I saw a similar card on Pinterest and made a few changes to adapt to the products I had on hand. That’s one of the great things about Pinterest, be inspired and replicate exactly or put your own spin on things. This card would make a beautiful sympathy card (and I have just the right “with sympathy” stamp from you guessed it, a past Paper Pumpkin kit). This is my third seasonal card for next week’s Seasonal Cards class. It can be a Hanukah, Christmas, Seasons Greetings or even a Holiday thank you card. The combination of silver and blues is a classic and striking.
Be sure to RSVP soon to save your spot at class. I’ll be sending out photographs of the other upcoming classes soon. New stampers always welcome!
