Creating a double slider card can be fun and frustrating at the same time, but the end results are worth it. I think I ended up making 6 prototypes before I got it right. Follow along with me in creating your own interactive double slider card. You may want to watch the video first before assembling, as I did do one misstep – but I show you how to fix it! Doing things in order is key to making this fun, interactive card.
Double Slider Video Tutorial
Order of Construction
Please watch video for these steps to make sense.
- Score card base (measurements below).
- Punch half of circle in middle panel.
- Punch partial square (or similar shape) in panel without side tab.
- Stamp outside panels (center with circle punch and panel with side tab). I like to hold the base with the side tab on my right and stamp that side.
- Place plastic strip onto card and seal with tape. Keep seam at bottom.
- Stamp top & bottom sliding pieces.
- Attach ribbon to top sliding piece.
- Put tear & tape adhesive (no wider than plastic width) on back bottom of top sliding piece. Adhere over seam. Slide to top.
- Put tear & tape adhesive (no wider than plastic width) on top front of bottom sliding piece. Adhere to opposite bottom side of step above.
- Put tear & tape adhesive on the front side of side tab.
- Closer slider card being careful to tuck inside panels inside pocket.
