Looking for a fun Christmas or Holiday table decoration? Why not make your own Christmas Crackers or poppers as some call them. You’ll have a bunch of fun making them with all the great Christmas papers that are in the 2019 holiday catalog. I think they’ll look great grouped in a basket, lined up on the table or used as place cards for your holiday dinner. Create your own Christmas Crackers easily with the ornament punch. Below is a link to a video I filmed showing on how easy they are to make.
According to Wikipedia, “Christmas crackers are festive table decorations that make a snapping sound when pulled opened, and often contain a small gift and a joke. They are part of Christmas celebrations in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Commonwealth countries such as Australia (where they are sometimes known as bon-bons), Canada, New Zealand and South Africa. A cracker consists of a segmented cardboard tube wrapped in a brightly decorated twist of paper with a prize in the middle, making it resemble an oversized sweet-wrapper. The cracker is pulled apart by two people, each holding an outer chamber, causing the cracker to split unevenly and leaving one person holding the central chamber and prize.
I don’t use a cardboard tube, but rather use the paper itself to create the tube. Watch the video to see how easy it is!
