Christine’s Craft Room Tour

At the beginning of each new year I give my craft room a big cleaning & purge.  I find that if I didn’t use something in the last three months, then it doesn’t belong in my immediate space.  As an active demonstrator, I only keep current stamp sets and tools in my room.  I know that many of you keep ALL of your supplies in the same area, but for me, that would be too overwhelming and distracting.  All of my retired and older items get removed to a bin or shelf in another room (to be dealt with later).  I have discovered that being organized and tidy really does help with my creativity.

I am very lucky to have a dedicated room as a craft room (we call it the Art Room).  When I started stamping 16 years ago, this room was our living room and all my things were in the corner on a folding table. To make small spaces work, you need to be organized and tidy (it’s a good idea to be organized and tidy no matter how big or small the space is).

January 9th is “Clean off your desk day” if that helps get you motivated to clean & purge too.

I thought you may enjoy a tour of my happy, crafting space.

My friend Ann made this for me a few years ago and it’s happily and proudly hanging in my crafty space.  It’s always nice to have special and inspiring pieces in your craft area.

Spread the love!
