Cards Made by YOU!

World Productivity Day was earlier this summer, on June 20. I posted about how we crafters should change the intent of the day into World Productivity with Creativity Day and gave you a challenge. You certainly met it! Here was the challenge:

In honor of World Productivity Day, I want everyone to make a card or project (your own design or copying someone else’s) on Thursday, take a photograph and email it to me along with your name and the materials you used.  Over the next few weeks, I will post them all on my blog for all to see.  Not only will you get more ideas on what you can make with all of your stamping supplies, but you’ll see that we all celebrated together.

I’m a few weeks later than “a few weeks” in posting your cards and projects, but I just know you will love to see what everyone from around the US is creating. Thank you for taking up the challenge, taking pictures of your projects and sharing with all of us! (disclaimer: the following cards were made with Stampin’ Up! products and the stamped images are copyrighted by Stampin’ Up!)

In no particular order:

From Michele White

Michele said “Kind of a simple card but I like it!”. She used the Flying By stamp set #163685, Nested Essentials Dies #161597, Peach Pie ink #163810 and paper #163799, Summer Splash ink #163809 and paper #163797 and In Color Resin dots #163389. I love it! Thanks for sharing Michele.

From Linda Carver

Linda used the Full of Life Designer Series Paper #163357 and embossed the entire card (all the layers) with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder #163414. Pretty cool! I’ve never seen a card done that way. Looks like she has a nice way of opening the card too, with a side tab that appears to tuck under the sentiment. Thanks for sharing (and showing me a different fold) Linda.

From Patti Davidson

From Patti: Here is my card…..As an overly attentive wife and mother, who also works a full time job and SU demonstrator as a side hustle………..my play/creative time can be quite limited. I’ve recently become a huge fan of the Mix & Match Ephemera Packs for the new Stampin Up Annual Catalog so fun and simple. Perfect for those times when you want to make a card but don’t have a lot of time.  Enjoy! Looking forward to seeing all of the other entries you receive. Can never have too much inspiration.

Products used:

  • Pool Party/Soft Sea foam Patterned Cards & Envelopes (retired)
  • Saying Something Ephemera Pack #163761
  • Something for Everything Ephemera Pack #163763

WOW Patti, you sure know how to use those Ephemera packs to make incredible and awesome (and dare I say quick) cards! Thank you.

From Anita Palmer

From Anita: Here is a card I made for my grandson’s birthday.  I used Lost Lagoon card stock #133679 and the Trusty Toolbox Designer Series Paper (retired) to cut out the tools and for layering. I bet your grandson loved his card Anita! Thanks for sharing.

From Val Mason

From Val: This helped me get back in my craft room, relieve stress, and stay cool 🙂

  • Two-Tone Floral stamps and dies (retired, but thought there were similar to Flowers of Beauty)

From Bobbi Davis

From Bobbi: Archival ink. Postbox red. Scrapbook.com joyful pattern collection washi tapes I had. Sentiment inside is stick a blister from paper studio.  Just used what I had. 😎🌴 That’s the beauty of card making Bobbi, so many times we can just use what we have (because WE ALL have a stash). Thanks for creating & sharing!

From Maria McKiel

This is what Maria used: Stamp sets: Happy Birthday to you stamp set (retired), Piece of Cake stamp set (retired), Scalloped contours dies (retired), Boho Blue Blends Markers #161659 & card stock #161724, Wild Wheat Blends Markers #161661, Basic White card stock #159276 and Poetic Expression Designer Series Paper (retired). From Susan Solis

Susan used the Seaside Wishes bundle #163498 along with some perfectly matching retired paper. Lovely! Thanks for sharing Susan.

From Mary Lou Kirby

From Mary Lou: “This was fun! For the first one I used Quatrefoil embossing folder (retired) ; Unbounded Love die cuts and stamp (bundle #163384) and adhesive backed sequins”.

From Mary Lou: For the second one, I used blender brushes #153611 and a circle mask with colors Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop, Summer Splash, Shy Shamrock, Lemon Lolly. I used Dainty Delight stamps and dies (retired). The watering can is from Garden Meadow bundle #162741. Stylish shapes circle dies #159183. The sentiment is a very old wooden stamp I bought years ago when I first started making cards. Popped up circle with dimensions.

What cheery cards you made Mary Lou! Thank you and I’ll add another thank you for posting your cards on our Very Important Paper Crafters Facebook page so often. We all love to see what you make!

From Joan MacDonald

From Joan: After making our sand dollar box at Club & having one left over pieces, I was inspired to come home and look at the shell set from last year or further back. I had a stash of already made extra pieces, so used them up for these notecards.  I love how those who live near the beaches and ocean are making related cards! Thanks Joan, all four of your shell cards came out great!

If you are curious on how to make the sand dollar box, I have a video:

From Nancy Van Vleet

From Nancy: Been working on using up papers, and went a little crazy fishing!!  Love the colors in that pack! (retired).  John’s our fisherman, and have only made a few for him and decided to make more!  His birthday is in July and the 🎸 paper is perfect for him!  The new home card is for him, too.  Thought it turned out cute, too.  I found the screen divider card on YouTube and had to give it a try!  I have hundreds of cards here in my craft room – even after giving them away for years!  Just mailed off 100+ to a group who sends them to our troops!  I’ve sent them over 3000+over the last 20 so the troops can send them back home.  I love doing this…

On behalf of all those who have received your cards Nancy, THANK YOU!!!!

From Karen Halterman

Sending Love mailbox cards. Sending Love stamp set #162873, Sending Love dies #162879.

From Karen: this a cool fun fold card. That new Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder #163789 used on card front, Shy Shamrock base and pattern paper and foliage. Petunia Pop is flowers. Flowers of Beauty bundle #163376. Shy Shamrock ribbon. Stylish Shapes dies #159183.

From Karen: Like an envelope card. That green dsp flap tucks under the Unbounded Beauty die on front. Unbounded Beauty is the dsp. Pretty in Pink is the base you adhere the white CS to.

Measurements: white 8″x 5 1/2″, scored at 4″.

Unbounded Beauty dsp 5 1/4″. Pretty in Pink 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. Flap is 3 3/4″x 3 3/4″- just line up 2 corners and fold in half for a triangle.

Bottom left to right: Churn Dash quilt; Nine Patch quilt card on bottom right. Top left: Broken Glass quilt; right is Diamond Star.

I’m definitely going to have to give some of these cards a try Karen, thank you for sharing with all of us!

From Patte Foreman

What a lovely and special birthday card Patte! I love how it opens up and need to make one myself!!!

From Michelle Spriggs

Michelle says “I was productive over the weekend!”. You certainly were Michelle!!!!! You used two of some of my favorites products: the Flowering Zinnias paper #163469 and Round we go bundle #163730. So happy! Thanks for sharing Michelle.

As you can see, I have so many wonderfully talented stampers on my mailing list and they each have their own style. That’s what is so great about sharing and looking at different people’s work. Everyone has their own style, likes, favorite folds, colors and so on. There are so many different ways of stamping, assembling, folding, cutting, combining colors that one person can not show them all. Thank you everyone who participated in my challenge. I think we may have to do another one so we can see even more great cards from you all. xoxoxo.

Spread the love!
