Steps

  1. Cut base.  One piece 5-1/2″ x 8 and one piece 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, this one is scored at 1/2″.
  2. Fold on 1/2″ tab, add glue to tab and glue two pieces together to create one long base.
  3. Score entire piece, 4″ and 12″.
  4. Fold into W shape.  (In the video I first say M or mountain shape, but it’s really a W).
  5. Cut insert.  One piece 3-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ and one piece 3-1/4″ x 9, this one is scored at 1/2″.
  6. Fold on 1/2″ tab, add glue to tab and glue two pieces together to create one long insert.
  7. Score entire piece, 2-3/4″, 5-1/2″, 11-1/2″ & 14-1/2″.
  8. Fold.  Center will stick out on left side.
  9. Cut Designer Series Paper pieces 2-1/2″ x 3 and one piece 1/4″ x 3.  In the video I reference that the center piece could be cut 3″ x 3″.
  10. Cut framed Stitched Rectangles (I cut mine in Evening Evergreen).  You will want to use the largest and 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle dies.  Cut 4.  Save inserts for another project.
  11. With the 4th largest Stitched Rectangle die, cut 4 rectangles out of large card base.  Eyeball to find center of each portion.  Save inserts for front & back of card (with two extra for other projects).
  12. Glue pattern papers to insert.
  13. Stamp.  Keep in mind when centering, the 4th section with have a small portion on right side hidden.
  14. For best results, use Tear & Tape to secure insert to right and left sides of base.  Refer to video.
  15. Cut two additional largest size Stitched Rectangle die pieces for front & back of card.
  16. Using dimensionals, create a channel for the ribbon and then adhere the front & back stitched rectangle pieces to front & back of card with additional dimensionals (making sure you do not see them through cutaways).
  17. Decorate front of card.

Note – you can make this card without using ribbon also.
