Sometimes you just need a stockpile of cards for that future occasion (especially when you’re not expecting it). I hope this month’s class will help you out.
A simple, yet elegant card. You can certainly replace the “With Sympathy” with any sentiment. A few techniques are used – masking, Aqua painters and some Crystal Effects (although it may be hard to see in the photo).
This can be an absolutely any occasion card – just when we want to say something kind, a happy birthday or a mere hello to your friends. Just a little scissor work here and some quick washi tape.
Not your typical baby colors card – I thought it might be fun to have it bright and cheery. Just swap out the “it’s a girl” for “it’s a boy” (both in the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set) and the pink card stock for a blue using the ribbon border punch. You can even use “celebrate” with both the pink & blue twine if you are unsure.
Class is on Friday, August 8 – I would love to have you join us!
Hi. I do like your sympathy card, are the flowers( over the written verse) a stamp? Cheers and thankyou.
Marilyn, thank you! The flowers are stamped. I don’t have the set anymore, but I think it was from a Stampin’ Up! hostess set a few years ago. I stamped them and colored them on watercolor paper and then cut them out. If I remember correctly, I put some crystal effects on the flowers too.
Hi Christine,
I have been admiring your coffee cup card for sometime and so have my pinterest followers!
The card will be featured on my website this Saturday.
I hope you will enjoy it.
