At first glance, you may think this is a basic sailboat card. But, if you peel the layers back and really see it, you’ll discover there are several techniques all on this one sailboat card. I use two different sponging techniques for the sky and water. The sky is sponged with the Blending Brushes. A tool you will use over & over once you know the trick to eliminating those blobs. The water uses an artist sponge directly on the stamp. The stitched frame is made using two rectangle dies. I’ll even show you some tricks on using the Sailboat Builder Punch. All of these tips & techniques are shown in the video below.
This card works for both masculine & feminine, retirement, graduation, birthday, anniversary, even a wedding! It all depends on the words you choose. You can also change up the sail colors to make it more personalized.

I recently filmed two different facebook lives using this same Let’s Sail Bundle. You can click on the links below to watch them.
You can see how I made this card using the Sailboat Builder punch in a different way, as graphics for a background. Creating graphic backgrounds is a fun and different way of using your punches. You may need to look at your punches a little differently now.

In the video showing how to make this sailboat card, I showed a few different ways of lining up paper & using the Sailboat Builder punch a little more efficiently. I think the key to this one is using the Stamparatus. Now is a perfect time to purchase a Stamparatus because of Sale-a-bration. The Stamparatus is $49, so all you need to do is purchase one more thing and then you will qualify for a free Sale-a-bration product.

This is a great bundle to have in your collection because it meets so many occasions, specifically masculine ones. We all tend to have trouble coming up with masculine card ideas.
