I received a card from one of my Club Members and I loved the fold she used. So, I decided to copy her card using all of the new In Colors – I think they came out fabulous! I found these cards to be quite addictive in making because of the super easy fold. It’s also a great way to use up those 1″ scraps you have stored away. I think you will find them just as addictive as me. Enjoy making these fun and easy fancy fold cards in the new In Colors.
Each card was made with these measurements:
- Card Base – 4-1/4″ x 11, scored at 1-1/4″ and 5-1/2″.
- Two complimentary strips of Designer Paper, 1″ x 4-1/4″
- (optional third patterned paper, 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″)
Close the card as you normally would and then fold the 1-1/4″ flap back and adhere shut.
Pale Papaya
Card base is made with the new Pale Papaya. Designer Paper from the new Pansy Petals Designer paper. Scallop Die from the new Scalloped Contour Dies and the Thanks (stamped in the new Polished Pink) is from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set.
Soft Succulent
Card base is made with the new Soft Succulent. Designer Paper is a mix – top card is all from the Pansy Petals and the bottom floral print is from the Hand-Penned Designer paper. I used the dies again from the Scalloped Contours dies (the second layer cut from vellum). The stamp set is from Simply Succulents, using the marker on stamp inking technique.
Polished Pink
Card base is made with the new Polished Pink Designer paper is from the Pansy Petals. Flowers are cut from the same paper pack with coordinating Pansy Patch dies. Embossed Polished Pink paper is from Meadow Moments embossing folders. Sentiments are stamped in Evening Evergreen with stamps from the Pansy Patch stamp set and cut with the Potted Succulents dies.
Evening Evergreen
Card base is made with the new Evening Evergreen. Designer paper is from the Pansy Petals. Embossed Evening Evergreen paper is from top: Tasteful Texture embossing folder and bottom: Meadow Moments embossing folder. Top sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen with stamps from the Happy Thoughts stamp set (in January – June catalog and WILL BE retiring) and cut with the Potted Succulents dies.
Fresh Freesia
Card base is made with the new Fresh Freesia. Designer paper is from the Pansy Petals. Embossed Fresh Freesia paper is from Meadow Moments embossing folders. Sentiments are stamped in Calypso Coral with stamps from the Dressed to Impress stamp set and cut with the Potted Succulents dies.
