Some stampers call this technique a “One Sheet Wonder”. Today I was asked if I had any hello or thinking of you cards to give to a nursing home, where visitors are currently not allowed to visit. This got me thinking of the “One Sheet Wonder” technique. I never watched any of the online videos or templates for this “one sheet wonder” before. But, it’s a good concept and I decided to come up with my own templates to create 9 cards with one sheet of Designer Paper.
The patterned paper I chose had the same pattern throughout the whole sheet. This paper is from the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper pack and has several sheets with repeating patterns. Did you know you can purchase a bulk package of this Magnolia Lane paper that includes 10 sheets of two designs (20 sheets of paper for $17)? This pattern is included.
Instructions
Start with a 12″ x 12″ piece of pattered paper and cut as shown:
The following cards use two different Whisper White bases: A standard base cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored in half and the Notecards & Envelopes. You get 20 pre-scored notecards and envelopes in each package for the lost cost of $7.
I also used a little bit of Basic Black, Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow (coordinating colors of the Magnolia Lane paper). Some pieces of Petal Pink Ribbon, Linen Thread, White Baker’s Twine and Lace Trim, plus a few accents of adhesive back sequins and leftover Paper Pumpkin* stick on hearts. Look around your stash to see what you have that matches your patterned paper.
All stamps used, except one, are from past Paper Pumpkin kits*. The one exception, “sending you LOTS + LOTS of happy,” is from the Lots of Happy All-Inclusive Card Kit. I heat embossed all sentiments with black embossing powder on Whisper White card stock.
I used two different sets of dies, Stitched Shapes Dies and Stitched Rectangles Dies.
Close up look at the Cards:
I used some of the 1/4″ strip on the inside of one of the notecards which left only a small strip of waste leftover.
All of the cards I made used the same side of the patterned paper, but don’t forget there are two sides! I hope you enjoyed how to create 9 cards with one sheet of Designer Paper or One Sheet Wonder. I would love to see what you come up with, be sure to share.
