Solution of making multiple cards without boredom is changing your papers

Do you need to make multiples of cards but don’t want them to look all the same? I have just the answer for you! The solution of making multiple cards without boredom is changing your papers I needed to make several birthday cards, but making the same card over and over can get a little boring and repetitive. My solution – change up the paper, but use the same template. This solution creates an easy and quick way of reproducing many cards, but gives you a little variety and personality. This system works especially great with the Everything Amazing stamp set as you will see.

I’m going to show you nine different cards that may seem all different, but if you look closely, you will see that they are all made with the same template. I changed up the paper and ink colors for each card which gave them their own personality, but stuck to the same layout. You will notice that each card only uses one ink color.

This was the first card I made. You may recognize it from a Facebook post I wrote a couple of weeks ago. I found out that it was “chocolate cupcake day” and I wanted to make a card to celebrate. But I discovered I didn’t have any cupcake stamps (can you imagine that??). This is the card I came up with, inspired by a chocolate cupcake. I used the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper and Early Espresso Ink. Solid Card stock colors are Petal Pink, Early Espresso, Pool Party & Whisper White.

This was the next card I made. A good friend of mine was having a birthday and I needed a card quick so I copied the first card, but with paper and colors that more reflected her personality. The patterned paper is actually from the Monster Bash (Halloween) Designer Series Papers. Be sure to check both sides of your holiday themed papers because they may work for a totally different reason than the intended holiday/theme. Ink color is black. Solid card stock colors are Basic Black, Lovely Lipstick, Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White.

Next up was my brother’s birthday and I needed another card quick. This is when I came up with the idea of making multiples of this card, but with different papers and colors. The patterned paper is from the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and Night of Navy Ink. Solid card stock papers are Soft Suede, Night of Navy, Old Olive and Very Vanilla.

As you can see, even though the template of the cards are all identical, the cards themselves each have their own personality because of the colors and patterns. Kind of fun, right? Definitely not boring. All made with the Everything Amazing Stamp Set. Below are a few photos on tips I discovered while making these cards.

When stamping the little words, stamp along a clean edge so you only have to cut out two sides with scissors.

I used tweezers to help me align the words with the line that is provided on the stamp. You could choose to stamp directly between the lines instead of on a separate piece of paper like I did, but I wanted to introduce another color while only using one ink color.
