We watch a lot of cooking shows in my house. One thing they all have in common is they all have well stocked pantries. The staples are always available for them to come up with a great meal. You can’t make soup without onions. You can’t make cookies without flour. The same thinking works for our paper crafting creations. Our craft pantries need to be well stocked. You can’t assemble a project without the right adhesive. You can’t mail a card without an envelope. If your craft staples are not available or replenished, you can’t craft. And that would be sad!
To commemorate March’s National Craft Month, let’s be sure our craft pantries are well stocked so you can create great projects, just like the chefs who create great meals. There are only two weeks left for Sale-a-bration where you can earn a free gift for each $50 spent in products. Now is a perfect time to replenish!
Craft Pantry Suggestions
~ The Basics ~
highlighted items are linked
Notecards & Envelopes. You get 20 of each for only $6.50. You choose Whisper White or Very Vanilla.
Thick White Card Stock. White matches everything, this thick card stock works perfectly for card bases.
Regular Whisper White Card Stock. I think this is the most used card stock pack in the catalog. The semi-glossy sheen is only found in the Stampin’ Up! catalog, no stores compare. And you get 40 sheets!
Refills for your Black Ink. I like to re-ink my black pads often to keep them nice and bold. Depending on the Black you use: Stazon (used for watercoloring) or Memento (used with Blends Markers). Use either for regular stamping.
Rhinestones. Almost every crafter I come across loves Bling. It’s always good to have an extra package on hand in case you want to go a bit crazy. Did you know you can color your Rhinestones with Blends Markers? Color coordination at it’s best.
6″ x 8″ Cellophane Bags. These bags are food safe and make the perfect size to wrap up a few cookies or treats, attach a ribbon and tag and give as a little treat. Instant smiles. The bags are also the perfect size for cards.
Medium sized Envelopes. These envelopes fit the size cards we make at classes and in my tutorials. They come in White, Vanilla & Clear.
Twine. I always have an extra spool of white on hand because I use it so much. Linen Thread is a second runner up.
Simply Shammy. This cleaner-upper has a prime spot on my table for cleaning stamps and blocks.
Adhesives. These are the Basics. I attached a Suggested Use Chart at the end of this email for the different types of adhesives
Dimensionals (you can choose regular size or mini)
~ A Little Beyond the Basics ~
Patterned Paper – so many to choose from and ways to use them
Stampin’ Trimmer Cutting Blades – Replaceable cutting blades for Stampin’ Up!’s Trimmer. After cutting so much paper, the blade dulls.
Stazon Cleaner. Stazon Ink is a permanent ink and can stain your stamps and blocks. This remover is amazing! It does it’s job (and I also use it to remove stains from my table).
Stampin’ Mist Refill. This refill will last you forever. As much as I love my Simply Shammy, I still use my Stampin’ Scrub & mist because the mist will condition my stamps (as well as clean them).
Aqua Painters. These brushes last a long time, but the tips and get dulled. Check the tips on your painters and see if they are dulled.
Card Stock. Check your colors. Do the ones you use the most need replenishing?
Higher level Adhesive such as Tear & Tape and Foam Strips. These are great for boxes and shaker cards
I could really list everything in the catalog, but wanted to keep the list short and focused on the craft pantry items. Check your supplies and see if anything is low. Now is the time to take stock and replace and replenish. It’s a bad day when you work on a project and find your run out of something or it’s empty.
Remember, you an earn free products in March for each increment of $50 spent. Sale-a-bration ends on March 31.
