Have you seen the new Butterfly Gala stamp set yet? It’s one of my new favorites. I just love the 5 butterfly options, the sentiments (that can be used for almost everything) and the coordinating butterfly punch. There are two sizes of butterflies and they are both on one stamp, which makes it pretty easy to punch out because the punch has two butterflies too. Sometimes though, you won’t want to stamp both butterflies together on a project. Read below to see an easy way to stamp one butterfly from the double butterfly stamp, with just using a post-it note. One option is to cut the stamp, separating both butterflies. The issue with doing this is, you may not line the two butterflies back up together perfectly when you want to stamp and punch. I came up with another option for you, a very easy one involving a post it note.
One Stamp Butterfly Tutorial:
- Stamp the double butterfly on a post it-note. Cut around the butterflies (creating two sticky butterflies).
- Put the post-it note (with stamped butterfly) where you want the stamp to go. Here, I want to stamp the big butterfly in the corner of the envelope.
- Place the other part of the post-it butterfly back to match the post it (like matching a puzzle piece).
- Remove the butterfly piece that you want to stamp an image of (leaving the other post-it butterfly piece in place).
- Stamp the butterfly, keeping the one you don’t want stamped on the post-it note. (Here I don’t want the smaller butterfly to be stamped, so I am sure to stamp that part on the post-it).
- Remove post-it note
- One butterfly stamping! Just do in the reverse if you want the smaller butterfly to be stamped and not the big one.Did you know if you purchase the Butterfly Gala stamp set and the coordinating Butterfly Duet punch together in a bundle, you can save 10%?
