Coolest Tie-Dye Coloring

We made this tie-dye birthday card for my Club last month and it was a HUGE hit.  It really is the coolest tie-dying coloring technique because it has that washed out look of an actual tie-dye t-shirt.  We focused on the Soft Pastels last month and this card was the finale for all the projects.  I love both the color combinations of the card (I am definitely a blues girl) and the process of applying the color.  There are 9 colors in the Soft Pastels pack.  The Stamparatus made it even simpler – especially if you are going to make multiple cards.  Watch the video below to see how easy (& addictive) it is to make the coolest tie-dye card.  Just like in real tie-dye, you may even get some color on your hands 🙂

These are the colors you receive in the Soft Pastels set: Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, Gorgeous Grape, Mossy Meadow, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green and Night of Navy.  There are many ways to use these pastels.  Below are two prior posts I made showing you just two of the ways (plus the tie-dye technique in this post).

If you are like me and made lots and lots of these cards, you will discover that you may not be able to get all the colors off the stamp after washing.  That’s fine!  Staining does not affect the stamps future use.  It just shows that it had been used and loved.  Here is a picture of my stamp after MANY uses and washes:

stained stamps work just fine!

The staining is just that, a stain.  It will not transfer to other future stamping.  I hope I have convinced you this technique is the  Coolest Tie-Dye Coloring technique there is.  Try lots of different color combinations and let me know how it goes.  And, if you don’t have a Stamparatus, I would order one.  It will make this technique much easier.  And, if you order one in August & September, you only have to order one more thing to qualify for a free Sale-a-bration item!  Yippee!!!!
