A Congratulations Card

Today I went to an Eagle Court of Honor for three new Eagle Scouts in my son’s Boy Scout troop.  I went through my stash of cards and did not have an appropriate congratulations card, or rather 3 of them, to give to the boys.  So, I just made them!  I tried to keep it simple because I didn’t think they would be all that impressed with glitter, layers or fancy techniques.Snip20160102_2The notecards and envelopes pack is a great go-to item when you want to make a quick card.  The size is a little smaller than the usual A2, measuring 3 1/2″ x 5″.  The Bravo stamp set includes many sentiments all conveying congratulations.  I chose this congratulations image because I was able to use my Stampin’ Write markers to give it multiple color.  If you are curious, I used Island Indigo, Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Tip Top Taupe and Lost Lagoon.  Not all of these colors are in the background paper (which is really birthday paper from the new Designer series paper stack It’s My Party), but I thought they matched well together while also being masculine (a little bit of pink is good for anyone).Snip20160102_1I just love using photopolymer stamps because you can see exactly where you are placing the image on your card stock.  It makes it so easy to stamp right where you want it.

Spread the love!
